INFO:

I was tired with all the fake alpha-blended .cur cursors and CursorXP Themes
that attempted to imitate the excellent BlueCurve cursor theme for the X Window
System version 4.3 and above. I use these cursors myself, on a real, genuine
Gentoo Linux system. Normally because I am a Linux guru I don't do things for XP
anymore, but I decided that because I am still dualbooting and still need to
play Vice City, I must have these on XP. Found a few imitations, but..
ONLY TWO sets of these had animation incorrect animation at that.
NONE of these imitations had correctly blended cursors.
ONLY ONE of these even used the source from which the cursors were MADE from.
Apparently it takes a Linux guru to figure out how to replicate something
another Linux guru has made. It is so simple, this is just a hint to all the
makers of the other themes learn how Linux works and you can do wonders. I
made this set in less than ONE HOUR. Yet it is the most accurate and best
looking set available.

Little do many know; the cursors that are distributed in RedHat distros are
actually made from source PNG images they are not just some freaky image
format that nothing but the X Window System can open. Currently, these source
images can be obtained in redhat-artwork sources. There are even huge 48 pixel
square cursors in this.

So I found these in redhat-artwork-0.95, sliced them up into separate images,
and viola, you have an extra-accurate theme.

I'm distributing this in a GPL-compliant fashion I'm distributing the source
of all of the cursors, including a Photoshop document or two. The hourglass PSD
can be opened in ImageReady with animation. There are thirty-eight hg_* images,
each a consecutive frame of the hourglass animation. Finally there is the
coveted BlueCurve.CurXPTheme and BlueCurve Inverse.CurXPTheme.

I'm fairly certain that these cursors are the display of pure genius by whoever
made them. They are so good because of the perfect contrast they are equally
perfect on both black, gray, white, blue, whatever color you like the text
select cursor for example it is so perfectly made that you can use it on both
black text boxes (late-night terminal hacking) and white text boxes (daytime
Slashdot posting).

SOME NOTES FOR THE SAKE OF ACCURACY

Turn off CursorXP shadows. The cursors themselves have the shadows in them.
This can be done by going into your Control Panel, Printers and other hardware,
click Mouse, click the CursorXP tab, click Options, and un-check Enabled.
The Windows Cursor Animation of the hourglass is painfully slow. The units used
by *.ani files, jifs, are very slow and it is impossible to recreate the 20ms
delay between some frames.
