STRAIGHT EIGHT

I liked the theme of the original Windows 8 (if not the OS itself), so for my first style I thought I'd have a go at recreating it. Don't go looking for the Charms Bar, it's not there :)

If you change the accent colour in Windows Settings, the windows and taskbar should all change to the new colour. However, I found that some darker Windows colours are rendered very strangely. For example, "Storm", a very dark grey, appears as a very nice pale bronze colour. I can't find any way round this.

For Start10 users:
There are four separate Start10 start menu graphics, for bottom/left/top/right taskbars respectively. These just put the start menu borders in the right place. So for example, if you like to have your taskbar at the top of the screen, select "eight-start-menu-top" for Start10 Menu. I would say the Modern Style Start 10 menu, with icons shown as tiles, suits the Curtains style best, but of course that's up to you.

The (mostly invisible) start button graphic works with Start10 and the standard Windows 10 start menu.

I made the style using Curtains v 1.1, on a 1920 x 1200 screen at 100% DPI scaling. If it doesn't work well on other resolutions or DPI settings, please let me know.

I hope you like the theme, or at least find something useful in it to use in your own creations.
